The May 9 Shred Event was well-utilized, with an estimated 6,500 pounds of paper shredded on Saturday. Since all of the paper was 100% recycled this saved approximately 55 trees, 22,750 gallons of water and 10 cubic yards of landfill space.
Free Document Shredding was offered Saturday, May 9 for any individual or business owner at this 3 hour event.
Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes today. Shredding documents is the only way to be assured that confidential information is secure. Cintas Corporation shredded up to 10 boxes of documents FREE.
The event was co-sponsored by MacArthur Boulevard Business Association and Illinois Times.
